About This Site

The Cumberland Valley Softball Association (CV Softball), is a recreational youth softball league located in the Central Pennsylvania area.  Approximately 550 girls play in one of 5 slow pitch leagues (ages 7 through 19), or on one of 6 fast pitch teams in three age groups (ages 10 through 16).  A Mini-Instructional league was added in 2004 for 5 and 6 year olds.

CV Softball is now entering its 34th season.  Over the years, the Association has grown into one of the largest softball organizations in the Central Pennsylvania area.  Thousands of girls have benefited from this program.  Our slow pitch leagues teach the girls how to play a great game, let them  experience what it's like to be part of a team and more importantly, provide an atmosphere where everyone has fun.

The fast pitch programs, in affiliation with the Metro East Girls Softball League and the Metro West Softball Association, will be entering their tenth seasons.  These programs offer girls the opportunity to learn the game as it's played at the scholastic level.  The Metro East leagues includes teams from Linglestown, Hershey, Carlisle, Middletown, Paxtonia, Colonial Park and others, while the West Shore Minors includes teams from Dillsburg, South Middletown, East Pennsboro Carlisle and Redland.

This year, nearly 550 girls will play in the CV Softball program on 40 teams.  An organization such as this is only possible with the invaluable support of  parents and friends involved in the program.  There are more than 150 adults who volunteer their time as Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Executive Board Members, and committee members.  There are many opportunities for you to help CV Softball.  Please consider donating a few hours of your time each month to ensure that our daughters continue to have the opportunity to play in a first class league.
